Overview

We were tasked with developing the website for the Institut Universitaire Locomoteur et du Sport (IULS) at the CHU de Nice. The project aimed to create a comprehensive, user-friendly platform for patients, professionals, and researchers involved in orthopedic, trauma, and sports medicine services.

Project Objectives

  1. User-Centric Navigation: Simplify the interface to allow patients quick access to relevant specialties, practitioners, and booking systems.
  2. Research and Educational Integration: Provide seamless access to ongoing research, publications, and educational resources.
  3. Cross-Specialty Coordination: Highlight multi-disciplinary care by connecting orthopedics, spine surgery, and trauma care.
  4. Responsive and Modern Design: Ensure compatibility across devices for diverse user demographics, including mobile users.

Key Features

  • Comprehensive Services Section: Each specialty (orthopedics, sports medicine, spine surgery) has a dedicated section, making it easy for users to find relevant information about procedures, practitioners, and contact details.
  • Clear Call-to-Actions (CTAs): Prominent “Prendre rendez-vous” (Book Appointment) buttons throughout the site simplify patient access to consultations.
  • Educational Resources: The site includes a dedicated section for researchers and students, with publications, fellowships, and surgical training opportunities.
  • Events and News Integration: A live news feed keeps users updated with the latest publications, seminars, and breakthroughs in orthopedic surgery.

Development Outcomes

  • Increased Engagement: Traffic increased due to better navigation and user-centric design, improving patient engagement.
  • Optimized for SEO: Integrated SEO strategies resulted in higher search visibility, especially for local orthopedic services.
  • Enhanced Multi-Device Experience: The fully responsive design allowed for greater accessibility on mobile devices, significantly improving usability for on-the-go users.

Conclusion

The IULS website serves as a robust platform that not only informs patients but also supports medical education and research. It stands as a critical tool in enhancing the visibility and functionality of CHU de Nice's orthopedic and sports medicine services.
